The Iasa Global and Microsoft Learning Partnership Continues to Expand

The partnership between Iasa Global and Microsoft first started on Wednesday April, 28, 2010 (read the press release) when Microsoft Learning announced that it would discontinue offering the Infrastructure and Solutions architect certifications, and would fund the migration to the IASA Certified IT Architect Professional (CITA-P). This would provide an independent certification for a vendor-neutral view of architecture and one at the right rigor for practicing architects.

This partnership has now expanded to reach all four levels of Iasa certification. In the past month, as an example, Iasa offered the Architecture Core course on Microsoft’s campus in Hyderabad for sixteen (16) Global Delivery architects. All sixteen completed the course and passed their certification exams with a mean score of 80%.

In addition to the course, the associates also took part in the Iasa Self-Assessment. The assessment is based on a defined set of principles, models, disciplines, concepts, guidelines, and proven practices developed by members of Iasa. The five foundation pillars are the core principles upon which all Iasa certification is based. These principles and practices are based on lessons learned throughout the world and at large and small organizations – from Dell to Wolters Kluwer, from Avanade to a boutique investment firm in London, from T-Mobile to independent thought leaders in the practice.

We take particular pride in this course offering and look forward to continued interaction with the newly minted foundation architects (CITA-F), both through their continued participation in the India community and continuing education. Congratulations to all these new architects!
